What did you MISS your first deer with and what's your excus

Nice buck about 5 years ago was the first one I every missed. Rem .308 742. I got 2 cracks at him as he turned on the afterburners across a field.



Ever since I broke the ice and missed one a couple years ago i can miss them no problem ever since.

Missed my first shot last Friday night, sheared off the tip of the bullet when I tried to chamber a second round after already chambering a round, (things happen fast, duh!) I rammed both bullets down into the clip of my Browning without a second thought, then re chambered the origional bullet - drew a bead, set in a rest and boom, then watched the deer walk off, I had never experienced a miss and didn't think to put a second shot into him, I figured he had been hit hard and would lay down, wups, oh well, my own fault and at least I didn't blow off his jaw or something.
