What distance do you shoot your .22's at?

It changes with the situation. Gophers are 2ft out to some insane (for .22) distances. Targets are mainly 25-100m as I haven't got a fancy gun.

Anywhere from 25 - 100 yards for me.... Usually i'm shooting at 50 yards though.

Same here, dime groups at 50 easily, generally just do reactive targets for fun at 100 ie. clays, cans etc...

Any gopher that I see out to 100 yards, even without a rest is toast with my CZ. If I'm sitting and using my knee's, I'll attemp shots as far as I can see them running around. It's fun. If I'm just playing at the range, I'll shoot out to 300 yards. Sometimes I hit, sometimes I don't. There is no formal rules to having fun with your .22, try it.

anywhere between 25 to 300 yards but mostly 100 and more and all that with a 597HBLS with dynapoints 100 yards no wind or very little, groups under 1inch but I mostly shoot at rock up to 300 yards and crows up to 150 yards scope is a tasco varmint 6x24-42with weaver base and a bipod

I use mine mostly for rabbits so shots are usually under 25yrds....I do alot of plinking in the 50yrd range though.....

My backyard range is only 50yds so it is 25-50 for me usually. Golf balls and steel targets mainly.

I usually get out to 150 yrds with my Savage FV. 50 yrds doesn't cut it anymore as I do scopes only.

I was shooting it out to 150 yards a few days ago with the Iron Sights always a few inches away from the GONG but at 100 yards I was killing balloons with an average of 1.25 bullets per balloon. This was also the first time I shot it with the front hood in place and further then the 35 feet I was shooting before.

I sight my 597 in for about 30 yards and I find I can adjust enough to whack gophers at around 60 without too much trouble, but beyond that I have to walk them in with about 3 or 4 shots, so I don't really bother for the most part with anything out past about 50 yards... that's what the .223 is for.

well, I got bored at the range last week , and I was there alone, and it was 9PM so I thought to myself how inaccurate is my CIL .22 at longer range than the 50 I normally shoot at.
So I set up to shoot at the 300 yard gongs and started plugging away. It was dead calm with 0 breeze, and I was hitting them with 3 out of 10 shots.
I didnt adjust my scope and had to hold so high, the gongs were nearly at the bottom of the scope picture. But I actually found it fun, and have been doing it ever since.
Of course, It is completely useless to try when there is even a small breeze, so I save the "long distance shooting" for ultra calm days. I might have better luck if I wasn't using the cheapo ammo that comes as 500 rounds loose in a box. I.E. winny dynapoints
