What do I do???

I am not trying to decide which to keep the 270 WSM or the 7mm mag...the 270 isnt going anywhere...but since the 7mm mag is so close to it I was thinking of replacing it with a bigger calibre...rebarrel to 338 or new 325 WSM. Thats what I was asking opinions on, is it even worth changing it or selling it.

OH, THAT is the question!!
Well, either would be fine, but if you want a take off barrel, the 338 would be a lot easier to find than the 325, for sure.
Most gunsmiths always have several barrels that they take off when building customs, and sell them pretty cheap, but if I were to rebarrel, I would do it with a new custom onme.
You would likely be able to find a 'smith with a .338 reamer easier than the 235WSM reamer, as it is still a pretty new caliber, also.
I am not a Remingtonm fan, BTW, so I would probably change rifles, Bashaw Sports has a .325 WSM in a Winchester highwall that would be great if I were going that route!:D :dancingbanana:

If you ask me, not a good idea to keep too many WSM's rifles for many reasons.

All rifles mentionned above are extremely close. The 325 is identical to the 300WSM (one inch drop diff. at 500yards with a 180gr bullet Woah!). The 300wsm have a better bc and deliver more energy at longer ranges. Just look at Win website for a 180gr comparo...

Your two calibers can do the same job of a 300WSM. Keep your 270WSM and 7mm (you seems to like it), If you want a bigger rifle, go with a 338win mag or a 375h&h.

And remember, in rifle calibers, newer is not necessarely better. I own WSM and RSUM, but my real hunting rifle is a good ol '06.

I have a real soft spot too for the '06...the featherweight one in the classifieds is tempting so.

So would the 338 mag out perform the 325WSM?

The 358 Norma outperforms them all; and is not as long as the 375 H&H, so no mag or feed rail problems. I think it is about the most efficient calibre on that "short" belted case! (but then, while I have two of them, I still hunt with a 308 win!). Enough is enough, if the shooter does his part!

Buying another gun w/o selling one isnt an option...already spent too much money on guns and that wont fly with the wife.

'Tis easier to ask forgiveness than permission.....;)

Keep the 7mm. My 2 cents. If it shoulders great and you like it, it will haunt you if you sell it.
