Somebody shed some light on this older Norc M305 for me please.
It is blued instead of park'd.
There is a different cut out in the side of the receiver to pull the op rod out.
its is marked 7.62x51 instead of .308.
The op rod has a slightly purplish tinge to it.

Any and all info would be good. Aprox year? Is this the era with "soft" bolts? Anything else I may need to knw.

wow, there's an oldie
I'm gonna say pre 90's production but I'm no expert on the history stuff

does it have numbers on left side of mag well, below the stock line of the receiver?

and I wonder, does it have any usgi parts installed?
despite the condition, the stock in the back ground doesn't look like mystery Chinese wood, the gas system finish looks awesome..... hmmmm
cool find, got a pic of it assembled?

I'm not sure yet. It's co worker's rifle I was looking at for a buddy, seeing as I know more about them than he does. Or so I thought until I saw this thing. I just took a quick look at it today. I am going to take it for the weekend and tear it down a bit and really check it out. I will get more pictures of it.
The stock was spray painted camo and the current owner started to strip it down to clean it up. No idea what it is. Will get more pictures.

That is the stock from the rifle. The guy that is stripping it down builds furniture and stuff, I am sure he could turn a chu wood stock into something that looks good.

Al lever imported them Wayback when. I can't remember the year. (It may come to me)
The wood is nice. Its Like a match stock. very thick. Not sure of what type of wood. Quality control is VERY good On the rifles. The Woodstock's in the picture are original to the rifles. The one Had some wear on the bluing so I turned it into my rat rifle. Vietnam era. Australian recon Division.
