Here are pictures of a bayonet I just got.

What do I have and is it worth something ? Not selling but I want a bayonet for my Jungle Carbine to complete it.

Does it fit on a JC ?

Please tell me more:

It is a No7 for a LeeEnfield #4 rifle but someone has messed with the blade. In original condition it would be worth around $225 but now I don't know. Also that is not the correct scabbard for it.

At least I didnt pay for it...

Now back on the hunt for a No5 bayonet, this one is going in the parts box

Is the rear end of it all there? I have a blade and handles but missing the rear bits that lock it to the bayonet stud.

Sorry cleaned up my photobucket.

Handle and locking mechanism are complete. Its just the blade that has been bubba'd unfortunatly...

Jungle Carbine bayonets have always been scarce and they haven't gotten any cheaper.

Sometimes the best place to find one is to buy a Jungle Carbine that has one with it.

i have a couple of those sten bayonets that i've had for a few years now. i recall paying about 125 or so for them and when i was following prices, saw them go up to about 200 or so.

if you really need to have a jc bayonet, they are making repros that sell for about 100 to 125 or so. a web search will show you lots of places to buy them from. i was a dumbass and missed out on a few orginal jc bayonets many years ago for 75 to 100$ or so (yes, i still kick myself) and now have a shiny repro in my bayonet collection.....
