Hello Folks
ok here go s I was given a shot gun barrel and I am trying to find out what I belongs with.

Its a 12 Ga Browning barrel
with the following markings
(On the left side)-BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST LOUIS Mo & MONTREAL PQ
- SPECIAL STEEL-12 GA-SHELLS-2 3/4"1Kg070
E1872
(on the bottom)- 183 1 338
(on the right side)- MADE IN BELGIUM

(ON THE RECEIVER) 1 338
There are other stamps but I cant make them on the computer
anyone know as to what model this belongs to?
I do not know very much about the Browning line of fire arms so help in this would be great.

It's a 12 Ga Browning barrel made in Belgium. snicker. FN makes and has made all kinds of Browning shotguns. Markings on the barrel tell nothing about the model. Just the ammo that can be used in that barrel. A picture of the chamber end would certainly help.

One "distictive feature" is that fancy chevron shaped brake some have...that's an auto. Since no mention (and it is distinctive) of it, I'll wait for the pics...
