What do I list a v.g. condition. 410 wingmaster for?

Hey Rob

This can be a very harsh forum and can get negative real fast.In my humble opinion the gun is worth $500-550 all day long. $700 is too much. I would keep it myself because an older 870 is a real gem and mod choke is very handy. Most of the the guys that watch this thread are arrogant pricks.I did the same as you with a as new remington semi auto 30-06. these guys ate me alive. I sold the gun for $250 more than they said and told them so after.

Thanks Scott.
I have a pretty good feel for what what I can get locally for the gun now. If I need to sell it I have a few guys that want it locally. I'm wanting a .410 over under now to complement my 20. Sporting clays is a disease that's infected me and a few buddies. We are in an arms race so to speak currently. ...

BPS's are nice guns but very heavy for small gauge guns. Part of the appeal of 410/28 gauges is their lightweight and how they "dance" in your hands. The BPS is 7lbs in the sub gauges and that's way too heavy in my opinion and leaves them feeling like a club in comparison to a scaled down 870 LW such as my 28ga which is a hair under 6lbs.

Patrick

I've recall some of the small gauge light weight models in the 70's had mahogany stocks instead of walnut to achieve the weight reduction.

Thanks for that. Maybe I should be looking at the bps instead, plus screw in chokes. Browning Seems to me to have been consistent in their quality.

Remington started the whole "dummying down" of the firearms manufacturing industry in the mid 50's and has continued that decline for over 50 years. Just when you think it can't get any worse they hit another low and everyone has a race with them to the bottom to keep up.

Not seeing much negativity in this thread just mostly truth and reality. If you're feeling so butthurt maybe go to a different thread or forum?

My problem with Remington and their small gauge 870's was the short barrels. Even the small gauge 1100 Competition has a 27" barrel. If you are after target shooters you need 28" and 30" .

.... and how the earlier ones are built on full sized 12 gauge frames.

Read the how to load pics in the photo section. Use photobucket or imgur.com or postimg.org as a host to upload your pics.
Because I'd like to see your wingmaster!!

Considering selling a favorite gun of me. Found a different.410 o/u I'd probably like more. 25" fixed modified choke. What you all think?

The local gun shop I visit often says $600 - $700 for a VG Wingmaster 410. Does yours have the cross bolt safety that can be locked with a key ?

I think I bought a team membership. It's got some technical difficulties that has to be ironed out but I'll be posting pics easily when it happens.
