What do I need to attach a Bushnell rimfire scope on a 10/22?

Hey. I cheaped out and bought the Bushnell Rimfire 3-9x32 scope for my Ruger 1022. Apparently the rings that come with the scope don't fit the 10/22. What do I need to attach the scope and where can I buy it? Thanks.

did you get it new or, used?

My buddy just picked up 2 used scopes for .22's.
He said the same thing, they came with rings (as they should). I popped by and, he's right. Didn't fit...previous owner had 'em on piticany(sp?) rail, which is wider.
I have used scopes from 10/22's (old, bushnell 4x, w/weird dovetail to dovetail mount...) and they fit any .22

If the rails match, show quick-pic of current mounting

When I was using a rimfire scope, I had it mounted just like that. It was strong enough for what I was using it for, never had a problem

Thanks for the pic...
I would try:
i) Loosen the rings around the scope (leave 'em loose for now)
ii) By pic, you've got bigger bases than the rails you chose. Open up the bases as far as you can (without removing the screw completely) and see if they'll grab the broader, bottom rail)if they do, pop 'em on there. If they wont expand enough to fit the bottom rail, put 'em back on the narrower top rail and, tighten 'em up.
iii) Once bases are rigid to rifle, hold up and sight down the scope. physically adjust the scope so that crosshairs are level and, you have a nice sight picture.
iv) tighten rings aound scope and, sight it in

If you find that rhe bases will not grab, you will have to collect another pair. Available anywhere you can find a scope...

Get back with successes or, issues!

Thanks man. I never thought about loosening the rings around the scope and just turning it untill the cross hairs are level. That should do the trick. Thanks again.

Yep, that's all you have to do. The scope won't mount correctly on the bottom rail because it's for weaver type rings, you have it correctly mounted now, just need to level the crosshairs.
