Ok if someone like me wants to start reloading, is there a list for everything that I'll need to buy to start?
But seriously folks...I know the search function is less than stellar, but this question gets asked and answered about once every 3 days or so. Keep reading past posts in here, you'll find what you're looking for.
If you're on a budget, you can skip the tumbler and the powder trickler.

yeah thanks for the useful post![]()
That wouldn't change a thing. People who don't bother to browse past threads don't bother reading stickies either. This question gets asked enough that there should be a sticky entitled 'What do I need to get started in reloading'
It would make it a lot easier for people to become informed about what they need.
You are welcome..all you need to about reloading is there for you.... videos, current data..remember Google is your friend![]()
Basic kit would include
single stage press,
scale
powder measure
dies & shellholders
hand primer
Lee case length gauge, cutter and lock stud.
chamfer tool
primer pocket cleaner
case lube
1 or 3 manuals...
I suggest buying the Lee starter kit.

Really? Reading a few things on the forums here it doesn't seem to be well liked by allot of people. Or is it just experience reloaders that dont like it?
I liked mine. You get everything you need in one box, for ~$100.Really? Reading a few things on the forums here it doesn't seem to be well liked by allot of people. Or is it just experience reloaders that dont like it?
I would recommend that Lee kit only if money is a big issue, otherwise I'd go with RCBS or Hornady etc.
Not bashing Lee, I just happen to prefer the look and feel of the other stuff. I have a Lee Load-All shotshell press, Auto Prime and a 3 hole Turret press. They're fine, as are the Lee Collet Dies.
I like my 20 year old Rockchucker and other RCBS and Redding gear better though.
Apparantly some of the new Rockchucker presses may have a ram alignment problem so who knows? China strikes again. RCBS backs up their stuff 100% though. So does Lee for that matter.
They'll all get the job done.
