What do I replace my AR's with?

I'm a big fan of the modern Browning BAR, but it is "just" a hunting rifle. I wouldn't expect it to stand up to heavy (or even moderate) range use - But I'd love to be wrong!

fnar and bar dbm are the same rifle. there's a swedish company that sells a handguard and pistol grip adaptor. still stuck w 5rd mags though, as it is too narrow to make a magwell that will accept pistol or aia mags.

That sounds exactly like my situation. I even went so far as to stop following gun rules and regs. Be careful how you ask things on here because when I started asking questions, I got a lot of what the heck is wrong with you, have you been under a rock?

Turns out I was lol

I replaced my Ar15 16" barrel with an 11" Bren 2 that was the only size available at the time. I am going all in to SBR my Bren.

For my long range, I'm going to get a Rem 700 SPS Tach and replicate the USMC M40 Sniper. Far cry from my M14 but it's all I can do.

Let us know what direction you ultimately go
 
Replace it with an illegal AR15. You're already a criminal and they hate you. Might as well embrace it. :stirthepot2:


The previous comment was made in jest out of frustration for the current situation. I don't recommend breaking the law.
 
With the stunt that the Liberals pulled yesterday, you might as well replace your AR-15 with a bow and a muzzle loader... Keep your AR-15 handy though, because the Liberals are up to no good... Everything feels more and more like 1984 with every day that passes, or is it just me?
