What do I try next with my Savage .223 10FP

Here is where I am at in the quest for accuracy with my 10FP in .223.
So far I have:

Ran through the listed powder weights for H-322 in .5 grains increments
Tried seating depths from 5 thous to 30 thous out.
I am neck sizing
I have restocked to a full aluminum bedding block (B and C medalist)

I have not sorted brass by weight or done any type of primer pocket uniforming or neck turning. I am using once fired range pickups (Winchester). How much better can I realistically expect to get this gun? What would give me the most bang for the buck?

I am happy with these results but if I can get significantly better results without too much more effort or expense I would like to try.

No mention of what bullet and the bullet weight. If these are 100 yard groups I wouldn't complain too much about the factory pipe. By sorting and weighing brass you might be able to shrink those groups down to .250"

I don't think you are going to get much better than what you have with your Win load. You could try Lapua brass - it might get rid of the occasional flyer but I think that is about as good as it gets with your factory pipe.

Get closer to the target? Those groups are pretty small... Time to switch powder! Try some Benchmark!

Ya, or some Varget, my cheapo Stevens likes Varget and 69gr SMK.

Maybe try weighing the bullets?
Its amazing how much of a diff there is with Sierra compared to Hornady.

Looks great though.

How does it shoot out 300-400yards?

You might want to try some Hornady 75gr. BTHP Match bullets. Either one of the (2) bullets are great choices.

As far as the accuracy goes, if you can keep it within a .5 MOA average ALL the time, quit screwing around and shoot the damn thing...;)

My range only goes to 200 Yards, it will shoot 3/4 of an inch with hornady 68 BTHP Match bullets at 200. Have not tried anything else yet.

What is acceptable accuracy at 200 or 300 m? Just curious as I am new to that range and I am about to try it out with a 22-250 ?

The thing is shooting .25 of a minute. What more do you want?Next step would be a different barrel.

Thanks...I guess that is the answer I was looking for, whether it is worth trying to squeeze any more out of her. I guess I will just enjoy shooting it now. Can't say enough about those savages. Gotta work on my LRPV now. :D

Trying to get it to shoot .19 of a minute or whatever would improve the rifle how?Just enjoy it mate and now that you know it shoots you can work on your skills to shrink that group.
