So , tell me...what do these two pictures have in common ?

if you geussed they both symbolize "getting nothing", you'd be right !!LOL the season ends Dec. 31st. but due to work, this morning (Dec. 27th) was my last opportunity to get out !!! saw lots of tracks, but only had one doe come within bow range (but it was a no good shot), oh well..there's always next year !! (and bunnies is still open till the end of February !, kind of a sad concellation prize though !)

P.S. - i'm in SW Ont.....most of the deer tracks we saw had coyote tracks not too far away !!

i still enjoyed everytime i got out (better than being at work, or home with the wife !!...don't tell her i said that !!LOL), and luckily my hunting buddy stuck one about 2 weeks ago, so atleast i'll be getting some meat , but this was my first season out with bow, so getting one myself would have been nice !, but i'm not discouraged, i'll definately be out next season !!!

My group got four Deer this year during the December shotgun hunt in Southern Ontario. I have to agree with you on the Coyotes. We saw a fair share of them. You may not have got a Deer but the season on Coyote never closes so perhaps it is time to put away the bow and dust off the rifle.

I'm with ya! No meat in my freezer and did not get a shot off. I live close to you and attend the same club.... The deer vanished in our area. Like you said it's bunny season now!!!!

In the last week I have driven several times the 40km on the main highway south out of the city to check on my brother's place while he was away. There are three carcasses of road kill deer in that stretch. Normally in the winter there will be up to twenty to thirty visible on that stretch.
