To tactical imports: you start showing me some of these neat toys in stock and we'll talk. I keep looking at the Type 88, but I have a .223 bullpup already! I'm sincerely hoping for .308

It's a 10 day wait
30 days between handguns or concealable arms
You can generally buy as many long arms as you like at once (although border states now have to "declare" when you buy more than one at a time), or you could buy a new one every day I guess.
I'm mostly familiar with California laws, but we have some of the most strict.

No licenses
Handguns are registered
Long guns are not

BTW, I have some kin in Hollywood [Mission Hills District] and need to make another trip. :)

Had to laugh, once I was trucking through and pulled into a terminal at Long Beach. The security guard asked, "Where you from?"
"Ontario I said". He said, "Let me see your California license". I said, "Sure". He said, "WOW" when did Ontario, CA start making licenses like that." Still remember eating some of the best Fajitas that day.

Mission Hills - Nice place.
Are you a long haul trucker? Have a friend in Vancouver that's an owner/operator for Atlas Vanlines who used to come down this way a couple times a year. Hasn't been worth his while since the gas/diesel prices when up a few years back.
 
We can buy guns from any part of Canada. In America you can only buy local within the state or the state next to you.

Not any longer. Retired from it a few years ago.
Spent a long time in Cali though. I remember being there when the last earthquake hit waiting to get into L.A. for my delivery. There was a gunshop not far from the truckstop where I got all the news leading up to the Clinton ban and your firearms law changes. Even the truck laws are strict in California just like Ontario up here! Lots of inspections at Cajon Summit.

You can order a gun from anywhere (in the country) but have to have it sent to a local dealer in your state of residence to do the paperwork/background check.
