Family member passed and has a crap load of different Winchester Commemoratives. I have no idea what these things are worth. I quickly looked at them. He has lots of John Wayne and I saw a RCMP one. Any help would be appreciated.

Depends if they have the box and what kind of shape it's in. $7-800 seems pretty common for the models I'm interested in. YMMV. Good luck.

The odd calibers go for more than say the 30-30's.
44-40's seem to do well.
All dependith awn the flavour of the month.

Photos and plenty sell things.

Each needs to be researched separately. Some were produced in the tens of thousands, others in the hundreds. Condition is important, as is having the original box and paperwork. Also there were different models/grades of some issues. For example there are at least 4 RCMP variants that were produced. 9,500 commercial, 4,850 members issue, 10 Special presentation guns, and 32 movie props. Each would have a value based on desirability, rarity, and condition.

Just like the Win Comm. the John Wayne ones are popular too.
Popular in how many where produced.
Select few are worth serious coins.
Any Sask Jubilee in the mix?

Ward's Auction has on in the Aug auction. There is 117 Winchesters.

I bought 9 commemoratives, no boxes, none especially unusual. Sold 8 of them for $850 each. Two were 44-40, rest 30-30.

So many people who own one or more think they are worth a lot of money, like grandpa's old double barrel.

Some are worth big bucks, so care needs to be taken and do the research.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard, "I've never seen another one" at a gun show. That line gets used by some vendors and some who ask about a certain firearm they own.
