What do you do for your RO's?

You ever try chasing Raks around the range when he decides he wants to move! Everybody thinks I'm joking when I say we should hobble him!:D

I know this question was directed at Match Directors but want to speak as a shooter. I'm a mature guy with limited experience and just three matches under his belt. I'm a tad nervous in the match environment and have made my share of noobie mistakes. I really value the guys that choose to be at my back. In my short experience they have been invariably helpful and patient as I wobbled myself through the course. I always try to thank them individually for their help. I know that without them we wouldn't be as safe and wouldn't be able to enjoy our incredible sport. So thanks to all you RO's!! I appreciate you.

Remember you only need to record the last shot with the timer...lol
 
At Wentworth & Burlington,for a L2, typically RO's get a match fee discount for working one or both days, which usually includes setting up on a Friday or teardown on Sunday night. They also feed us a terrific lunch (today was pulled pork on a bun with a side of beans/chili/potato salad/pickes & homemade butter tarts.) Hot Timmies coffee is provided mid morning. :D:D:D

The only thing that seems to be missing from the last few matches is the greatly appreciated 'handshake & thank you' from a lot of the competitors before they leave the range. :(:(:(
 
Yes sometime I think people forget that if we RO's are not there for two days or more that these shoots would not take place and all we do ask for is that greatly appreciated 'handshake & thank you' from the competitors before they leave the range.

At the match this past weekend I worked the Saturday at Burlington and noticed this a little bit, but it seemed to be mainly the new or at least unfamiliar to me competitors that didn't do the shake 'N thank. Maybe because they were preoccupied with traveling to Wentworth (it was the Shoot 'N Scoot after all) or maybe something else - we got behind and other squads were waiting so there was not much time for anything between squads.

Not a huge issue but it is a nice gesture and hopefully they will see and imitate the more experienced people.
