What do you do with spent primers?

I have been putting my spent primers from shotshell reloading into the recycle containers. Had been just putting them in loose until my wife gave me whatfor. She was concerned the recycler people would either report me to the police or would note our address and pay a visit to acquire some cheap firearms. She wanted me to just put them in the regular garbage that goes to the dump. Now I put them in a pop can to make it less conspicuous. What do others do?

Metal recycling dumpster at the beautiful Billings Twp. Dump. Same place as the picked up cartridges from the Manitoulin Handgun Club go. I'm not bored enough yet to do art with them, but if some of you guys want to make repro "first nation plains guns" I will help insert them into the stocks of your Winchesters and Marlins.

Seriously.

Most of you guys must have been to the scrap yard at one time or another. Ever notice the little tiny bits of metal squashed and dried into the mud on the ground? That's as far as your recycled primers get too.

I save all my spent handgun primers in one of the plastic tubs the bullets come in. Then put the full tub into my truck for the winter. When you need a little extra traction they work better than sand. It just keeps the neighbors wondering what all the little sliver dots are

You take the damn things and throw them in the garbage. If for some reason you want to collect and handle them I suggest you get tested regularly for lead poisoning.

Garbage can beside the loading bench. The garbage man already won't take any metal, cardboard boxes, bagged cat or dog $hit... if they give me grief over a few hundred spent primers then what the hell am I paying for when I dish out my monthly contribution to the city? It does say waste removal on the bill!

We recycled our old plumbing pipes and fittings last week and got $1.75 for the brass. Would take a lot of primers to weigh much though.

I Keep mine in a pail, if the pail gets full, I'll start another. When I die whoever claims my house can do whatever they want with them.

Trash usually, but now I am considering Gatehouse's idea and may attempt making sequined underwear. Despite the initial chafing, they may be a well paying fad item. I'll keep you posted.:dancingbanana:
