what do you feed your tavor?

What ammo do you guys use for you tavor? Or higher end rifles need to start stocking up? I was feeding my guns norc but running low now?

Cheapest stuff I can find. Winchester white box, American eagle black box (when the deals are on) sellier & bellot, etc etc... I am starting to hand load for it now too. Just cranked out my first batch of handloads for it, as I wouldn't mind to start hunting coyotes. I made a nice 60 gr v-max load for it that it seams to really like. As well I worked up a general load for plinking as well. I have access to essentially as much one time fired brass as I could want so I'm definitly jumping on the gains lol. Hard part is finding 55 gr bulk projectiles at a decent price. Same goes with powder.

How much do they run for mike?

vmax/zmax? super expensive, unless youre hunting with it and you need that precision theres not much of a point really.
standard ae 55 grain will get you 4 moa, same with xm833, which is sufficient for me to hit steel to 200 yards.

Canada Ammo has had some great deals on PMC .223 in the past. Probably something like $0.40 a round after taxes.

They have a "today only" sale on right now for 15% off. About $466/1000 before taxes for 55 gr ball.

Norc has dried up, and IVI is now banned from sale on the EE.

Generally it hasn't been sold to the public, they are concerned that it's stolen like other mil only kit. Some has been sold legitimately but CGN has an abundance of caution.

Been running MFS 62gr SP and Barnaul 62gr FMJ. Cheap Russian #### but it works fine and the Tavor is not a precision rifle anyway. Speaking of this, I need to get more. Thanks for the reminder.

Tavor should eat everything. Ate everything I fed it so far and asked for more. 55 UMC Ball, 62 AE Ball, 62 Tula steel case, 55 Hornady match, 60 Nosler Varminter.

Burp feed me more I'm a Tavor.

Funny enough, the only ammo that gave me any real issue was mfs 55gr steal cased. Just had to feed a few rounds and it was fine after that.

I think it's the Gen2 Pmags that have a problem in the Tavor. Might wanna double check that though.

gen 3 pmags are good to go.

Gen 2 pmags need filing done to the back of the mag. like mike the bike said just watch tv press pass's youtube video and it will show you what you need to do.
