What do you guys recommend for treestands?

Minor highjack but... where does the gear go when you're up in the stand? Are there hooks or holders ? I just hung mine last night and access to gear and gun came to mind.
 
I've been hunting from a stand for the first time this fall. Its really a different experience. I find it very restrictive. I find it easy to swing the gun to the right (I'm a lefty), but hard to comfortably aim to the other side.

I found it handy to save a couple of foot pegs to screw in for hanging gear while I get into position. I didn't need nearly as many foot pegs as I thought, but it was handy to have while I was figuring things out.
 
I always take a couple of the mini-screw in steps for hanging my crap on. Most of the stuff like my fanny pack with knife ,flashlight ,etc I leave at the bottom of the tree. Always thought it was kind of stupid to haul all that crap up the tree when I don't need it till later. I have gotten away from the screw in steps for climbing into my tree and have gone to the climbing sticks. I had a pair of lone wolf ones since about 1995 but some loser stole them so I bought a set from can tire. Make sure if you buy a set you get the ones that are 3 individual pieces not the 3 sections that go together. I have put up both and the connecting set is really noisey to put together. Also you can get quite a bit higher buy leaving a big space between the individual ones. Way faster and less effort than screw in steps.;)
 
A summit climber is what I have and love. The bullet backpacker I believe. Aluminum construction, only about 18 pounds I think. So far, I've always been able to find a tree that works for me.
