What do you guys think of my new Kel Tec sub 2000 (Glock) 9mm?

Dude it's not that bad. I have the exact same setup and really like it. You can put locktite on screws on quad rail and it won't move. The recoil buffer does make a noticeable difference. Yes they don't have much recoil but its more than you'd expect from a 9mm round. More than my AR lol. You already have it so try it both ways. I also have the sight mark sight and for price it's pretty good. With the QD on it you just pop it off and move it to the side or bottom rail then fold. If you need to unfold in a hurry you still have iron(lol plastic) sights. I like that it folds right up and will fit in a small back pack. It's a fun gun to take in the woods on a 4 wheeler, hiking, camping etc. cheap to shoot. some guys love em some guys hate em. Same as everything. Lol

Looking good! I'm liking the fact that you have the quad rail and QD sightmark, and without issues.
I wish Kel Tec made an optional fold-down front sight! :)

I thinks it's hideous, and I love it! Very 007'ish, utilitarian looking. I think I would turf the optic if it didn't hold zero when popped on and off, or find a redlion quad rail. At the ranges you would use a 9mm, I just don't think it's critical, as the the folder is the heart of that firearm, and the key feature. A speedy un-fold and go, would mean more to me, personally. Very cool though.

OK guys, I wrote emailed Irunguns a while ago. He told me that the cost of the export license, import permit and brokerage is $250.00, $25.00 to air ship the 1st item and 12.50 each item thereafter. Once your items clear customs you will also be charged GST and shipping to your place of residence. But he said he could do it. So I'm thinking if a bunch of us are interested, we could ask him to bring in the Red Lion quad rail and split up that $250 + $25 fee. So say there are maybe 10 of us, then the price becomes much more tolerable.

I'm in! Lanz just e-mailed me yesterday and told me that they're not getting Red Lion products at this time. So my hope is with Irunguns.

The good news is that the QD Sightmarks hold zero. A pretty quick QD set-up I might add, but obviously, not having to remove it to fold would be optimal.

I'm in for one!

Just an FYI to the S2K newbs... the front sight needs to be destroyed (removed) in order to fit the Red Lion forend... so in effect, you need to order both the Red Lion forend and front sight. The poster above can get the products.

Thanks for mentioning that! I would have forgot to order a front sight replacement, even though I knew full well that the plastic front sight rarely survives removal. PM sent to livefastdielast.

I completely disassembled the Kel-Tec quad rail this morning. The PO had incorrectly installed it. I used a massive "kung fu grip" and copious quantities of blue loctite. :) She isn't going anywhere! Quite pleased. One thing I noticed is that the fasteners for the Kel-Tec quad rail are made of a quality hardened steel... not the junk that others have been complaining about. I wonder if Kel-Tec upgraded the fasteners in recent kits? I will stick with this quad rail for now, but if it loosens, I will replace it with the Red Lion. I have no problem removing the QD holosight and placing on lower rail when folding. It takes all of 3 seconds. Nice rifle and sight... super stoked to shoot it this Sunday! Overall, it is excellent quality. Nicely blued barrel, the polymer pieces seem very sturdy, and the bolt and bolt carrier assembley are clearly heavy duty. What's not to like? OK, the rear sight seems like a POS, but the front sight seems much better than what I read about.

I got a sub 2000 recently. I thought it was an interesting concept gun. Added the Red Lion hand guard and an Eotech and it is surprisingly accurate.

However for some reason the safety engages after each shot! Has anyone else experienced this or know of a fix?
