I'm curious to see the results of this poll in a few days. I assumed pistol would be #1 due to the large quantities of ammo people go through with their pistols.

i load 18 different cals for rifle and handgun. when you shoot as much as i do you have to reload to keep costs down. my mg34 can eat up 500 rds in a couple of hours at the range.
Lets see, .223, 22/250,220 Swift, 243, 257 Ackley, 270 Win, 7 Rem mag, 7 STW, 30-30, 308, 30-06, 300 Win Mag, 308 Norma, 35 Whelen, 375 H&H and 44/40 in rifles.Probably forgot something, and a few calibers are for more than one rifle. Handgun 38 special, 357 mag and 44 mag. I'm pretty sure that I lost money loading target loads in 12 gauge so I quit.Factory all the way now.
The rifle cartridges win in variety, volume and interest for me.
I load for,222,222mag,223,243,250ai,25-06 270,280,284,308, 30-06,338-06, 7mm mag,300 win mag,444,45-70 and last and the biggest that I have 458 win mag.I also load for 32 auto, 32hr mag, 380 ,38sp,357,44mag.I have to do somthing in the off season.
Gord.
