Not into light rifles myself!!!
I love using my 7.62 Parker Hale TX1200 with 155 A-maxs , a cracking combination whether long range target / varmint or hunting deer!!
Heres some photos ....
Have harvested Roe and Red Deer with this rifle...........
Hope you dont mind the hunting photos - if this offends i will remove them!!!
To say i am impressed with this rifle is a understatement!!

Reminds me of a Canadian Army issue C3, I had the opportunity to train with, once, in Cyprus.
Of course irony as it is, the one I handled, did not have a suppressor, unlike yours I suspect.

sliced, great choice! Once it arrives I'm sure you will be more then pleased!
I'm not sure what kind of bases you like for your rifles, but I am a Picatinny type of guy just because I like to have the ability of switching my high end optics around on my rifles. I had Clay from Prophet river firearms run around trying to find me a Picatinny rail, and I contacted every base manufacture I could think of. Finely Clay found that Warne was making some Picatinny rails for Cooper, and as such I was able to get one... likely first in Canada. I do believe Clay still stocks these rails.
Also I was able to find the following loads that Cooper uses in their rifles when shooting those sweet bug hole targets. I also believe these may be older loads because the load that was included on my rifles target differed from the load on the list. In any event it might give you an idea of where to start for developing loads for your cooper.

Also, I will inquire into the Picatinny rail as that gives you a lot more options for rings, but as the Cooper short action is new, Warne may not have started to produce them yet.

Not at all! Where can you hunt in England anyway? I know the fox hunt was banned there but what is the general sentiment towards hunting? What kind of deer are they, Red Stag?

Not sure about the second deer, but IIRC the first one is a roebuck.

As for the Parker Hale TX1200 rifle - its the standard target barrel with a full length alloy barrel shroud!!! ,it goes all the way from the receiver and when i asked some questions - i do believe not many was made!!!
As for hunting in England , most land is private but as long as you have permission and reasonable excuse to own certain calibers , its not problem!!
The small deer is a Roebuck and the other is a young pricket ( young Red stag ).
She does the business on Foxes too!!!
