I really wouldn't classify deer as "large" game exactlybut that is just me I am sure, I prefer Moose, elk, and bison over anything. I enjoy shooting bird but with large game I enjoy setting out bait, reading tracks, stalking, and everything that leads up to the shot, that is what gets my juices going.

I probably enjoy coyote, crow, groundhog, turkey hunting the most because that gives the most action. But I love deer, beer hunting aswell, but thats only for a few weeks a year. The small game gives me a lot more time to spend doing that so I'll pick small game.

I really love the small game because it is the only type of hunting I have done.
There was a thread awhile back about dream hunts and for me it would be a large plot of land with a ton of gophers. I know that doesn't seem to exotic and most of you will say I have that every day, however the land that I am allowed on here is good however I'd say there were no more than maybe 50 gophers all year. Better than nothing but I'd like to go to a place where you can shoot all day and not run out. I'm mean, that is why I bought my guns, paper punching gets boring fast

I like hunting deer and antelope best, followed by elk. Moose tags take way too many years for me to get drawn. I haven't hunted upland birds for a number of years, but I have to admit that I miss it, just because it is less work (generally speaking) and a heck of a lot of fun. Next year I will make the point to get out again after huns and pheasant.

Small game is good because alot of it you can hunt all year long and if your really deep in the bush with out a quad its not that heavy to drag or carry.

Deer is big game 100% not like a elk or moose but big game for sure.

Big game is enjoyable to me because of everything around the hunt. scouting locations in the off season, week long back pack camping, the preparation, everything that leads up to the moment when u have the animal picked out and in ur sights.

I love the fast, shoulder punishing action of opening day duck hunting, limiting out on woodcock over a good Springer, and folding explosive flushing grouse as they zigzag through the hardwoods....but nothing gets the blood pumping and hair standing up like a bull moose burping and grunting on his way in to a mournful cow call,a big buck crashing through frosty leaves on his way to kick the ass of the antlers he hears grinding,or a big bear strolling in to a baitsite under my bow stand.

Hard to choose, but I gotta give the nod to big game hunting.More of a rush, maybe because when the opportunities are presented it's more critical to get it right the first time?

Bighorn is number one, followed by elk then whitetail, mule deer, pronghorn, then moose.I also enjoy some upland shooting as well, but I am not big on ducks and geese anymore.

Gotta give the edge to small game hunting. Though that adrenaline rush and initial thrill is great, my primary concern is one thing. Fresh meat. And I love small game meat.

Without a doubt it is elk hunting for me. I have found nothing else that compares to the sound and sight of a pissed off bull elk defending his harem. A freezer full of elk meat is hard to beat as well.

I honestly cannot answer......It just isn't possible for me to compare small game and large game hunting as they are so very different.
I really love small game as it gives me the most hunting oppertunities, groundhogs, coyotes, crow, grouse....walking through fields and woods all year long.
I also love big game....the preparation, hauling load after load of gear and food to the moose camp. Opening the camp after a year away, the social aspect, jokeing and teasing, canoeing through dense forests on lazy rivers. Or deer season, getting to your blind or treestand in the dark and witnessing all the wildlife waking at sunup, reading tracks and trying to outsmart them......

Big game small game....It's all good for the soul.

I prefer the Biggame hunting myself, Deer, Moose, Bear.
But nothing beats firing a couple at some yotes, or stumbling across a covie o' grouse with your trusty ol' 20 gauge.
