What do you suggest for a handgun

Then stay FARRR away from Sig...they are almost as bad as HK :p

I would love the Sig Mosquito IF it was the actual size of the P226. This would allow us to be able to buy the version without the compensator on the front or an overly long barrel.

So really the only chance is to buy a 226 (or the Norinco Clone ;), which I had planned on doing anyways just at a later date) and then buy the .22 conversion kit for lord knows how much :(

I forgot to mention that I love my S&W model 41. A little pricey.

Ruger also makes a revolver that comes with a 22 cylinder and a 22 mag cylinder. Always wanted to try one.

I hear the S&W 617 is great.

I went with the Buckmark and haven't looked back.

I tried the Ruger Mark III (not the 22/45 version) and the Mosquito for fit along with the Buckmark. The Buckmark just fit my hands better.

As far as the FTE and FTF issues, just don't use a dirty (read - cheap) ammo and you will be fine. My Buckmark loves American Eagle ammo. I use that and have zero issues. I use something else like Winchester Wildcat or Remington Thunderbolt and have nothing but problems.

Like any .22 semi-auto, it's picky about what it likes to shoot. Find out what yours likes and go from there.
