I shot this coyote yesturday in front of our best hound. He was in excellent shape, good fur and 37lb male. He is missing both his top and bottom canines on his left side, and a few other teeth. You can see where they were busted off, he's got a big chunk of his lip missing too. He had no other scars or marks in his head making me think shotgun. No idea what would cause it other than a graze from a rifle?

Most likely a horse or barn animal. I have a neighbour that found a trail of bloodied coyote paw prints from the barn. Or maybe a deer...there's quite a few donkeys up here to put the boots to a coyote as well.

My buddy was talking to the land owner today, she does own 2 donkeys, a llama and about 100 head of cattle. She has seen coyotes in the paddock before as well. Told her the coyote was missing teeth and she said her donkey goes nuts when any dog gets close to her.

If the neighbor has a donkey and a llama it could be either. Both of them make excellent guard animals.

I always thought llamas were kinda goofy until I was visiting this woman who used them to guard her sheep from coyotes. "Noodles" came over to check me out in the field and the damn thing made me feel sketchy like it was going to give me an old fashioned stomping! Not as tough as a donkey, but still pretty effective.

couldn't have been Chuck, the coyote's head would have exploded, along with the heads of his yet to be born offspring (I'm gonna hit you so hard your grandkids are gonna have shiners).

Absolutely not... If chuck norris had chosen to kick a coyote the entire species would have instantly gone extinct... We wouuld instantly be overrun with deer and rabbits...this is a known chuck norris fact... Indisputable...

Your right, couldn't have been Chuck Norris.
My apologies.
