What do you think of the Beretta 92F

Good guns, but if you buy one, Canadian law makes you buy them in pairs and makes you give the other one away...to me...in Inox. :D

Aney good news about them? you see he wanted it as a IPSC gun.

And no I dont think he's going to sell it aney time soon.................But he might after hearing that they jam a lot

I have an Inox and I like it. Never any jams or failures of any kind. Big for a nine, but well built and robust. It wouldn't be my first (or tenth) choice as a defensive handgun (if there were such a thing in Canada), but overall a well built gun that is fun to shoot and quite accurate.

Wanna head to range n lemme shoot it? You can shoot my Sig!

He already has a norc 1911 .45 for defence but the trigger pull on it is Bad and the sites are way off.

Well i guss if the accurcy of the 92F is good it will fine for now.

I've owned a few Beretta 92's over the years. Okay pistol if you don't mind the big table leg grip. Don't own any of the big Beretta pistols anymore.

These days I prefer a Browning HP or Colt Combat Commander to launch 9mm's. That's my preference anyway.

What kinda Sig did you buy? I dealt off my P226 and P220(9mm), now I only have a Mosquito.:(

But I am going to get a P220R when fundage improves.:D

220 9mm
I bought it off another board member..maybe it's your old one? :D

92F is a great gun. Many people love them, Fit and finish is outstanding. action smooth. The only concern is a little too big for a smaller hand person. If my hand would have a little bigger, I will get it over my CZ 75B.

They LOOK ok. I have heard people rave about them; BUT. They are about the MAX I can handle in terms of grip. I do like them, but I don't see myelf paying that kind of cash for an alloy framed handgun.

How's the grip (in terms of size) compared to an SP-01?

I bought a stainless 92FS Brigadier and absolutely love it: awesome trigger and hogue grips, looks great and shoots better than I do. ;-)

The last time I checked I had one in Inox in my safe :)

Never had any jams in thousands of rounds I shot through it. I will admit to getting light charges the the first time I used BlueDot, which made my Steyr jam quite a bit. I though the gun just doesn't like the load so I tried it in my 92FS and got the same result. It didn't take long to realize the problem was under-loaded ammo  (often the slide wouldn't even go back far enough to eject the case). Later in the same trip I shot 2 more boxes with an increased charge and the gun worked like a clock. :)

I'm glad it happened though; because I had no idea how easy it was to clear a jam since I never had any before. Open top slide rocks; you just pull the slide and and tilt the gun sideways, and no it's not the same with every gun - with my Steyr when I got stovepipe sometimes I had a do it a few times or even had to fish out the case with my finger out of a tiny (read normal size) ejection port. Failures to feed were even worse with Steyr (would be the same with all tilt barrel guns), every time I had to remove the magazine. With 92FS I just pushed the round back in the magazine through the slide -never having to remove the magazine. Again all those malfunctions happened with one box of the my crappy reloads.

Oh yeah if anyone wants a recipe for jam-o-matic loads let me know. :D

great guns, but I prefer G models (no safety just decocker). you're dad will be quite happy with his purchase. If you have any other questions on the gun shoot me a PM.

The ones I handled are a bit bigger than the SP-01. These ones had rubber finger groove grips.
