What do you think this is worth?

Hey,

I have an old model 24 Savage in 410/.22 that is in good shape, there is some handling marks and there was some surface rust on it. It works well and the bores are good. What kind of value should be placed on it?

I don't think he's touting a sale. Being a member here since '07 and having 116 feedback, he knows how to sell. Anyways, I would say $450 for anyone who really wants one.

I have tried that and the values are way over the map and the US prices are throwing things off. When I do put it up for sale it will be in the EE.

I'd start at around $450.00. If it shows much use you can always come down if it doesn't sell.

The new plastic ones are $350-400, the old savages are valued at higher by most.

I've seen them sell at auction in that range as well. Savage 24s have a following.

I recently sold one in the middle of that range. I thought the price was high enough I could keep it, but it went in less than an hour. Not exact model, but close; I had the original Stevens with tennite stocks.

They sell in the 450-500 range in southern Ontario.....sometimes more.
