what do you think of the weathby vanguard in 338 win mag shooting fedal fussion 225grain . with a leapod 3-12 40mm scoupe. for hunting

The gun sounds fine as does the load,but there is no 3x to 12x Leupold that I am aware of.

by golly.....it just might work...a bit overkill for anything smaller than 60" moose,7x7 bull elk or 1000 lb grizzlies.......but it just might work if you put the bullet in the correct spot.....

I was going to say, depending what you are hunting, you should have more than enough gun. Why the 338 over a 300WM or even something smaller like a 30-06 or 7mmRM ? What are you hunting ?
