I have a chance to purchase a Savage MarkllFV for the amount of $300! Comes with a scope and has about three hundred rounds through it! I've used this gun and at 100 yards it will take out 12 gauge shells! He has over $400 into the gun and is firm on $300. What do you think? Thanks.

I would check and see what you could purchase a similar setup from a retailer, you may be surprised. Your friend might have over paid, but it really depends on the details.
Cabelas lists the MKII FV for $259. I'm sure it could be found cheaper.
