What do you use as a Carry Case?

They are awesome cases, and I guess if you have the $$ to spare, then why not. But if money is a bit tight, I would go with making your own as posted by others here, or something much less expensive, unless your travelling on a 4 wheeler through the mountains and need that extra protection.

Then again, I might just be jealous I cannot afford to buy a nice Pelican :p

I got OD green pelican for what I hope to make into my 'sniper' gun, anthing else will get soft cases.

I got my 1750 (the big one) for 220bucks shipped by fedex so no tax or duties to my door from a dealer in California from ebay good deals there.
 
I use a 5.11 Tactical 42" double rifle case.

It converts to shoulder straps so you can wear it like a back pack.

I can carry 4 long guns (A shot gun, a bolt action and two ARs) a couple of pistols and all the mags I need.

Soft cases are way more flexible than hard cases.

You can't stuff a fart into a Pelican case after you've configured it
"optimally" for your desired configuration. I use them for my delicate photography equipment.

Pluck and pull foam makes me :bangHead:.

I can get a Rem 870, a AR 15, Ruger 10/22, And all 5 of my pistols in one Pelican case. And I own a sports car;):stirthepot2: Just need a nice soft case for the long range toy that rolls out into a tarp etc. They normally sit in a cheap hard case or soft case. Gone swimming with over 3g of gear in a pelican case just to get somewhere and didn't worry at all about stuff getting wet. Buy the good stuff when you need it!
 
Hardigg Storm cases rock for scoped rifles. For something that's really versatile and mobile I like the Eberlestock G2M Gunslinger pack. I can fit all my gear and hike into the bush anywhere I want, and still have a good rest to use for prone shooting.

You're probably right. I'm a bit of a poser.

I go to the range for pleasure and not work.
So for me there is no pretending that I am shooting for any other reason than to satisfy a boyhood fantasy to target shoot.

So yep there's definitely a bit of :jerkit: when I go to the range for an afternoon of bang-bang.

I suspect that the occasional multi-gun loadout it has more to do with my testosterone level than my need to be chatty! :D:D
