I just purchased a muzzleloader and will be purchasing a scope for it soon. Just wondering what everyone is using and if your happy with it.

Currently leaning toward a Leupold VX-II or III (or earlier generation) in
2-8 or 3-9 or similar magnification.

Weaver K2.5x which is plenty for the effective range of mine (Traditions Tracker 209.) I'm thinking of replacing it with an old Bushnell Banner LiteSite 4x40 just because I haven't tried this scope yet and don't have anything else to put it on.

I have a Burris Fullfield 3-9 on mine and it works great.
The inline smoke poles will reach out there a bit.
I took a nice little white-tail buck at 175yards with mine.

Just purchased a Bushnell trophy xlt 3x9 with the doa 250 muzzle loader reticle. I am no expert but it will do what I want. Seems like a decent scope for the money.
