In the past few years I've hunted deer with

.223
7RM
.300WSM
.375 Ruger
.45 Colt

This year I will add .260 to the list

In the past few years I've hunted moose with

7RM
.300WSM
.375 Ruger

.30-06 when hunting open areas or exploring new places, .32spl for white tails in the alder/cedar swamps and riding in the canoe duck hunting and as a back up for moose maybe, if it likes the hornady leverevolution stuff.

I use a 35 Whelen 7600 "carbine" loaded up with 250gr bullets:D. Knocks anything down with authority, and not bad in recoil either. By far my favorite close range gun. I actually sold my 45/70 Guide Gun when I purchased this one, it handles just as quick and retains a lot more energy at further ranges if needed. IMO this is one of the best "all in one" gun/caliber for central/eastern Canada big game hunting.

X2:agree:
225Gr Bear Claws.........

30-06 165gr bullets for almost everything, I pull out the 30-30 for wandering in the thick stuff around here, but this year I am going 7mm RM just cause I have always wanted one. Sold off a bunch of rifles when the long gun BS came in and now it is time to start rebuilding the stockpile.
