What do you use for hunting Deer, Moose

Specifically for Moose, my choice 'may' change a little. My latest acquisitation arrived today, and if I get a draw for Moose in area in 5-15 in B.C. this year, my new 'toy' may well get the nod.

In the stuff I hunt, my 760 .308 Remmy carbine is the cats @$$ for whitetails....and my Marlin 336 30-30 is always along as a back-up in the camp.....although it rarely gets out of the case

I have seven boxes of Norma factory ammo just begging for target practice. Plus, with the rifle I got one box of 250gr Speer GS and one box of 250gr Hornady interlock. In addition, I've ordered two boxes of Barnes 225gr TSX. In the near future, I detect the scent of 'burning powder'.

I use a 30.06, but you shouldn't forget the .303 Brit. I started with one and a lot of others did as well.

.243 model 70 feathrweight for deer.
30-06 710 (gasp!) for moose. Though I may use the 30-06 for deer this year too. Unless I get another suitable rifle. I've also shot a few deer with an old 12 guage single that didn't eject the empties from heavy loads. Gotta be really sure of your shot!

Most probably don't use the same for moose and deer, at least I hope the 5 guys that voted 7.62x39 don't use it for moose.

the one and only marlin 336 in 30-30, 170g sierras for deer, 170g nosler partition loaded rather hot for moose if i ever pull a tag. yes i would do that!
