Last 20 or so deer taken with my trusty 7m/m Rem mag, but plan to change things up a bit for 2010. Brno 22H 7X57 for general carry around and an FN Mauser .308 Norma mag for the long-range sits. Also plan to take my Mauser .375 Taylor "just for the hell of it". This will be for deer/elk in B.C. and NW Alberta.

It depends on what part of the hunt im doing, if im in the stand sitting still, its the scoped 700 rem(.308), if im on the rush and pushing throught the brush im with SKS or the 336 marlin.
I don't use any of the options listed!
My preference is for the .44 magnum cartridge which works great with the right loads & within it's shorter range of course, than some of those rifle cartridges.
Cast lead bullets in 240 gr for deer & 300 gr for bear with Alliant 2400 powder works for me!
Don't forget folks,....real men shoot cast!
