Ted, my ackley is a 6.5 swede, and yes, I know that H335 is a bit fast, and no I am not married to the idea of having it work. I have lots of slow powder too. I have been working up loads for surplus powders for 20 years, and am not concerned that I will blow anything up, I have a chronograph, and I do not seek to exceed reasonable load velocities, and I can tell when things are getting hot. I will moly coat the bullets, and I have a bunch of 92 grain HP bullets for it if I cannot get success with the 140's. I have many pounds of H335, and the time for a science project. I was also surprised to see in the comments in this thread that someone was using H335 in the 280 AI, but who am I to argue with success. If nothing else I can use it for case forming loads. I throw away a bullet when I form cases. I also have an unimproved swede, and I may find a load for that with the 140's. I am a bit of a bullet hoarder, and have several hundred prvi 140's, so I can play for a while. While I do load a couple cartridges to slightly beyond what modern book max loads are, I know that nothing has ever walked away because the bullet was going 200 fps too slow.
