What do you use to keep your pistols from getting safe kisses?

I'd like to maximize my safe space. As it is now I have a "stand" built out of ammo boxes that hold my pistols all in line however if I bump one taking it out the domino effect topples them all over. Some of the stand options seem to take up much more space.

I'm looking for a better option like small silicon cloth cases for each. Just to keep them from scratching each other.

What do you use?

What are the dimensions of your safe, the lay out (shelves), and how many pistols? I have found that damage occurs when putting in and taking out the guns, not when they are in place inside. I made my own acrylic pistol stands each one taking up about 3.5" of width per pistol.

I always leave them secured in the locked Pelican case. When i go to the range, i just grab the case and i'm on my way.

Dare I say......library books......surplus from the library or goodwill stores, and text books larger than required gun....remove all pages...put some foam on the bottom, ie. Inside the spine....insert gun and stand inside of case spine down....keeps all guns separate and isolated by nice firm covers..either pull out book to go shooting or slide gun out leaving the book in place no shuffling required. Also Dewey decimal system, indicates that my sig is at 799.02...easy to locate.

These work great ..I have converted all mine to them.. hxxp://www.brownells.com/shooting-accessories/gun-storage/gun-cases/long-term-storage-cases-prod1850.aspx

I use big magnetic hanging hooks from Princess Auto.
Unscrewed the hooks and bent them out so they're more like extended V's, then stick them to the back of my Stackon safe / locker, 2 per, width depending on the pistol.
Holds them nice and secure (ones a CZ 75B so fairly heavy) and nothing can touch them as the rifles are stored on the sides.
