What do you use to store reloads?

MTM case fashion minus the continuous buying of plastic cases.

You, do know, they can be re-used, right? :nest:

I use the MTM cases, 1 big 100 for each rifle calibre, and a whole bunch for the pistol calibres. Although, it is a bit of a pain, if I hadn't already bought the ones for 45acp, I'd just dump them into ammo cans. I think each 50cal ammo can holds 6-45acp, and 1-44mag, so one good day at the range. If I just dumped loose rounds in the can, probably be over 1000 rounds 45acp, I'm sure someone here knows for sure.

Isn't it potentially bad to store ammo in a sealed plastic bag? I'm studying for the RPAL and they mention a few times that ammo shouldn't be stored in an air tight container. I hope to start re-loading one day.....
Thanks!

Militaries around the world store their ammo in airtight containers for decades.

 Holy fak!

I have not bought any for a while, but the last ones I bought were not that expensive! Wow.

Check a mail order/online supplier, should be able to find them in the $3-4 range, and if you buy a bunch the shipping may not be too bad.
WSS has the 100 round versions for $3.99.

I pretty much quit messin around with make shift containers, i go down to wholesale or wherever and buy the proper sized ammo box of 50 or 100 and use them, sometimes its so nice just to have the right piece of gear.
that being said once they're oganized in those, they go in C9 ammo cans.

What model is that for Evan? Is it for rifle or pistol? I know the pistol ones are a fair bit cheaper.

Oops, pistol. I just picked up the pistol version yesterday so it didn't click that he might be talking rifle. I should have known better because I have never found WSS to be cheaper on anything else.

They should be a little cheaper than the $5-6 he was spending though.
