What do you use to whiten a euro style mount?

Sorry to bring this topic back up. But could you mix say sodium bicarbonate with the hydrogen peroxide instead of magnesium carbonate?

Thanks for all the ideas on getting that peroxide. Turns out I didn't even bleech it as my wife liked the natural color better to offset with her board. Here's how he turned out.

It looks great. However, it will likely get a bit darker over time. To prevent this, you coated the skull with 2 parts water and 1 part weld bond (water based) glue. This seal coat also helps to prevent the skull from drying out over time. Perhaps you already did apply a glue coating? If not, it is a fairly simple extra step.
