What do you wash your hunting clothes in

I wash all of my hunting clothes in my washing machine with detergent.My opinion is that if the animals can smell your clothes,they will also smell you.
 
I use a product called Sport-Wash, it has no UV brighteners or scent and leaves no residue. You can usually buy it at Walmart but I bought a big jug of it at Wholesale Sports.

I just washed my stuff in Hot water and baking soda after a regular washing in Allergen free Soap (no scent and we had it already..)
Then I hung it in the apple tree in the back yard for a couple of days...

Knowing where you live, that must get the neighbours going. Or do they think it's just Holloween decorations? :lol:
 
Hi Folks
This is a friendly warning.
I have put my insulated hunting jacket/bibs in a rubbermaid container with a few cedar boughs on the bottom for scent and stored it away the last couple of years. This past week, however, when I opened the container to add a few apples as well, I saw MOULD starting to build on the jacket!!!. It seems the cedar might have been a little damp when I put it in. Check your clothing periodically if storing it with anything natural that could rot.
Luckily it was just starting and I was able to wire brush it off and leave the clothes hanging outside in the rain this last week.

what i would recommend is hang your clothes for one or 2 days, and then store them in a rubbermaid container with cedar or pine branches.Bring the box as is, at your hunting camp, and leave it outsite your living quarters
 
I just throw 'em in the hamper and my wife washes 'em. Keeping downwind is the key, not what you wash your clothes in as far as I'm concerned (hmm..must be on right track as I've got a $hitload of horns piled up :twisted: ) Works for me, your mileage may vary :wink: ...KF
 
Dumbdawgs outer hunting clothes I haven't washed . YET! everything else ... yes, but I also hang it all outside to dry so you get that nice fresh air scent :wink:

Now if I could only get him to wash :lol: :lol: :wink:

dawgs do wash.. :roll: they just laze about and lick there nutz :lol:
 
I use the no "UV brighteners added" soap. Wash everything before bow season, hang outside to dry, then store in an airtight bag outside. I wash the clothes as little as possible during hunting season though.
