What does 12(6) mean?

It means that the barrel is 105mm or less AND/OR it's .25acp or .32acp calibre.
If you owned one of these before Feb 1994 and have owned one continuously since them, you can buy and sell among other 12(6) grandfathers.

It means that the liberals know that I'm much more responsible then you, because I owned guns earlier. Don't you love the way they think of you, and worry about your safety? Because short barreled handguns are tools of the devil, and eventually, unless you're a curmudgeon, they will turn on you and slaughter your entire family, and maybe even your whole block. - dan

That's what I think for a while. All the ''grandfathered'' thinks create two classes of citizens. the one that have the right and the other that don't. I don't want to remove this ''privilege'' to all titulars of 12(*) but me, I want to every one with a permit can buy the gun he/she want.

I also have my 12(6) status.
I think I speak for all of us that in this class that we really wish that there was no distinction & that everyone could have them.

Unfortunately the Liberals were just going along with their policy of a bit at a time, hoping that if they kept nibbling away at us we would wind up with nothing.

12.6 means that even though when I was 19 it was OK for me to buy a Walther PPK, now that I'm 40 I can't be trusted with one, even though I have paperwork that proves I owned a 12.6 handgun before prohibition.
