My .410 can sit in the closet and collect dust at those ridiculous prices. I've got 1500 rds of 20 ga that will kill grouse just fine.

I've never met a grouse that a 410 could kill that my 12ga wouldn't. Lol

Wow - where did you even find that stuff? Non-tox .410!? I can't find anything similar for my 28 gauge, so I've had to go back to 12 gauge for early season ducks ...

Ellwood Epps. The Remington Bismuth is sold out, however the tungsten is still in stock. 28 gauge is hard to find, but they have some non toxic in stock.
I started hand loading 410 once more, I don't often shoot mine, but I have lots of friends who shoot the 410 for chickens and rabbits, so I figured I'd pick u another set of dies for a spare 600 Jr.
I have bags of old WAA wads as well as fiber wads and new I kept those things areound for some reason! LOL

I can reload for under $5 a box. I just shack my head when I see the price on new stuff. When I go to replace my components I’ll likely grumble a bit, but I should be good on my shotshell stuff for over 5 years.
It was only about 3 years ago, that I was loading for under $5, but those days are long over buying components at today's prices,
Makes me angry that we can now easily carry $100 worth of groceries in one bag and $100+ of .410 ammo in the other hand.
I got all setup to reload .410 last year. Glad I did - it's about all I shoot now for sporting clays at my local club. Cheddite primers worked fine for me, but I was lucky and found a few thousand Winchester primers that I'm still sipping on (I only shoot about 1k/year now)
for those hunting with .410... try patterning your gun with 3" and 2.5". I did that a while back and found that from the full choke barrels of our Stevens 311A the difference between 3" and 2.5" is so marginal that I haven't bought a box of 3" since - literally 2-3 more pellets in the usable pattern at 25 yards. That will save you money and maybe help finding ammo. Then with patterning my 725 Sporting with multiple chokes, I found the .410 doesn't like to be squeezed at all and LM-M throws my tightest patterns.
