what does a 6.5 creedmore do that a 6.5 x 55 doesn't?

Why do all the Swede guys seem to worry about the 6.5 Creedmoor . If someone asks a question about the Creedmoor you always get the Swede guys flappin about how great the Swede is, then you get posts like this - Does it really matter in your world ? Enjoy the Swede if you have it. Let everyone else enjoy the Creedmoor or other 6.5 variant. I have a few 6.5 Creedmoors, 6.5 x 284, 264 Win mag. They are all fun to shoot. 6.5 Creedmoor is very easy to get accurate ammo for so they get shot more tho.....
This cartridge literally became popular for 2 reasons...cheap factory target ammo, and marketing. That's it. It shoots on par with the 308Win for range and accuracy. Any company could have done the same thing with the 260Rem and had the same success.
Case is just a touch too small for getting optimal velocity for the longer ranges with the 140-147gr 6.5 pills, evidenced by Hornady releasing the 6.5PRC... which basically is the ballistic twin to the 6.5-284. Why would they do that? Make more money off the non-reloading crowd same way they did with the 6.5CM.

Nothing wrong with the design as it was developed firstly for NRA long range , F class competition. It is more efficient in use of powders & load densities compared to the Swede & when used in a shorter, stiffer action. It is a stellar performer with good gear and loads out to 1000+ yds. Of course, just like auto racing "What wins on Sunday, Sells on Monday."
The rifle makers & ammo manufacturers were quick to pick up on this cartridge for good reason. We have modern, CNC made actions now that are inherently stiffer & stronger than in the past that can deliver match accuracy from the box without hurting the pocket book. It's a good time to be a rifle builder fer sure.
As for hunting use, the 6.5 Creed and Swede are pretty much ballistic twins, although the Creed operates at SAAMI pressures of 62,000 psi whilst the Swede does its thing at SAAMI set pressures of 46,000 psi. I would be happy using either one for any game in our country. The Swede has never let me down & I reckon the Creed wouldn't either. The game sure wouldn't notice the difference.

And the faster, fast twist 6mm's with 115's make the 6.5's look sad down range. So do fast 7's.
Although the fast twist 6mm due edge out the 6.5, the 308 isn’t even in the same conversation
