What does a rifle say about its owner?

the m14platform still fits; esp the shorty- a lot of them wear scopes and are in effect true "hunting" rifles alabeit heavy hunters- 5 round mag, no bayonet lug and scoped- that's a 'HUNTING ' rifle

Oh man! I better go tell my friend that his SKS isen't a deer hunting rifle even though he fills his bag limit every year with one.

Now I'm insulted...... :p

Wait a minute, I don't go to a range............. :dancingbanana:

Nice to see your pa is wartching yer shooter.....:p

i know a guy thats itilian. he shoots a benelli super black eagle. and like most itilans. if it aint itilan its s**t. he only shops at itilaian sporting goods. blah blah.

personaly i dont like the look of tacticool stuff. i hate SKS and 858s. because everyware in the bush its littered with their caseings. with that same logic i should hate 12gauge shotguns. but i only hate the ones with barrels under 24".

oh what else. postil grips on shotguns. i want the shoot the gun with my gun.

pollished shiney wood stocks that you can see your reflection in.

30rnd bananna mags and 50rnd drums. learn how to shoot!!!!

oh and i know i will get flack on this

i hate ruger 10-22's

It's not about the brands it's about Cal. Anything over .338 ( with the exception of a 45/70 ) means you have big jacked up truck, your 5' tall and have a little wiener. LOL

Maybe 300 wind bag owners fit in there as well but add Ed Hardy clothing

haha

joking of course

Most "itilans" I know can spell and write coherently. Your post lost most of it credibility when we have to read it 9 times to decipher it.

There's to much hate in you, you have to learn to love and appreciate all guns

I've got old guns, new guns, wood, synthetic, cheap and expensive guns. I don't care what someone else shoots and care even less what people think about the gun I'm using at any given moment.

X 2, enjoyment is in the hands of the holder.

soooo what category to I fit into?

My favourite action for hunting is lever and in Marlin flavour. Specifically the MX series. I hunted with the .308MX for a few seasons and has so far accounted for over 6 white tail.
I have recently acquired the .338MX for a elk hunt this fall. ( Both are topped with Redfield revolution 3X9X40 scopes)
As for the rest of my collection as follows:
- Ruger 10/22 16" hammer forged barrel c/w houge stock AND 25 round clip for
gopher hunting; the 25 round clip is quite handy when the field is crawling with critters and you don't have to stop and reload every 10 shots (and no, I'm not some wanna be rental cop zombie slayer)
- Remington 597 stainless laminate; I bought this one for the same reason as my Ruger; convenience in a 30 round clip
-Savage .17HMR, long range varmint shooting and picking off cherries at 200 yards is freaking awesome!!
And last but not least, a 1949 SKS...The only rifle that can be submerged in water, mud, etc.. run WD-40 down and will still operate.

Guess this makes me a Heinz 57 type of shooter??
Don't get me wrong, I do like the high end stuff. However, I shoot what I can afford and I'm more than happy with what I have. But one thing that we all have in common is that we like our guns, and that's the foundation of this sport we all enjoy

You're not alone, :)I think a lot of us are in 'that category' with you:p. Like many others, I have my preference but variety is the spice of life.
