What does IVI mean?

As noted by CZ85Combat, we confirmed the re-use clause has been removed on the sale by PWGSC of used military small arms cartridge cases.

That's interesting, they used to harp on it sooo much. Wonder why the sudden change. Better yet why is CGN continuing a ban in light of that?

that IVI 308 brass is awsome,,i have about 6000 of them,,damn near match quality,
 
I've still got surplus IVI 7.62 ammo with Le Baron price tags on the box. Of course this was pre-history by most standards; when Century Arms was still the Montreal base for Numrich, and a 4" S&W was in most police holsters.

Or just never actually saw a fellow hand a bag or box lunch box of whatever to the RO, make his dec, and have it handed back to him?
A bit pedantic, but he didn't have any when he made his Declaration.

Lots of the stuff got left sitting around, too, pretty much every place that the CF sent an armed lot off for one reason or another, like the G8 Summits or the Winter Olympics, where at least one member here found enough IVI 5.56 brass to pretty much fill a 5 gallon pail, at his local range. Just a couple example among many.
It's brass, not poisonous snakes. It doesn't stay on the ground if left alone and unattended. Especially at a civ range.

Which also sorta segues into the next point, that not everyone that spends time on the CF ranges, is there to shoot, and not everyone that does go there to shoot, cleans up their great stinkin' pile of brass, either.
Not every guy shooting on a CF range was there for work, either. I shot at the range in Edmonton after hours. It was a great place to shoot, when you were not oversupplied with idiots trying to make up for a lack of Leadership capability, by reciting their Management handbook.

Just for giggles, ask one of the summer students driving lawnmowers around the base, whether they have ever had to do a Stat Dec after mowing the range. If you get any other answer than "A what?" and a blank look, I'd be surprised.

IVI was CIL/IMPERIAL then DOMINION brand before that Best ammo I have ever used..... best .22 rimfire ammo too,. standard and high velocity.... Shotgun shells were Canuck,maxium and IMPERIAL-CIL then IVI. Made in quebec..
