What does SPF mean in the Exchange Forum?

In regards to SPF, what is the best way to do purchases like that in order to best protect yourself (not that anyone here would try and rip you off, but you never know) generally done through EMT correct?

just looking for a breakdown of steps you guys use, who are more experienced in buying from those on CGN.

Really, almost everyone uses EMT now. If you're dealing with a seller who has a good trader rating you have little to fear. The system on CGN works well.

That doesn't mean be blind... We've caught scammers here who make dummy accounts and try to bolster their rating with fake transactions. You'll know to be suspicious as the accounts were recently opened, and the others giving positive feedback have very low trader ratings of their own... Follow the web of trader ratings. Anyone buying or selling on the EE soon deals with someone who has a SOLID and EXTENSIVE trader rating, and once you see one of those you can be quite assured there was a legitimate transaction.

When all else fails, get a LANDLINE number and call them. You can always use Canada411 to confirm the number and associate address.

Good advice ^^. The biggest thing is the trader rating. I remember being a noob. After doing a few purchases and sales, you'll accumulate a trader rating via your buyers/sellers. You will be at either end of a deal so always provide the other party with feedback on the transaction via itrader rating!
