What does YOUR gun room look like?

Quote: "with my own 50 yard pistol range being there as well."

A conrete tunnel out of the basement is not difficult to do. Blueprints can show a "winecellar". City officail who stamped the drawings said "Boy, that would make a good shooting range!"

It would also make a good storm cellar. 6" ferro conrete walls and 10" ferro conrecte roof.

The blonde "Enfield" (bottom of the photo) is actually a Swift training rifle. They were made roughly the same size and weight as an issued Lee Enfield, but they didn't fire live rounds. Instead, when the trainee cycled the bolt and held the butt tightly to the shoulder, pulling the trigger causes a pair of long "needles" to quickly pop out from the muzzle end then retract just as quickly. This all took place while holding the muzzle end directly against a paper or cloth target so that the needles pierced it. This would allow new shooters to practice aiming, firing, and holding the butt tight without expending ammunition or requiring a large range. It was also a little safer than giving a raw recruit a loaded rifle and hoping he didn't accidentally kill himself or someone else. If Dion has his way, this might be the only kind of gun we are allowed to have, as long as we cut off the needles.

SSScotty - I love that display case. If only I had the space in my gun room I would have a whole row of those. Nice setup.

Good day all and happy new year! Thought I would dredge up this old thread and add a shot of my recently completed “Gun Rack”. I unfortunately don’t have much room, about the same room as a small walk-in-closet, so I had to be creative. This represents about 2/3 of my collection. Funny it doesn’t look like much when it’s arranged like this. (That’s 38 rifles if you count the (T) in it’s chest)

For the record, I WISH this collection belonged to me! I do believe that it's the Stern collection though.
