I was reading that RCMP PSM and it made note of a semi auto sten gun. Googling doesnt yield much. I assume they got the hammer?
The individual running the company ran afoul of the law in some of the projects that he showed here on CGN. Some of his STEN projects had full width selector lever cutouts, some of them had original diameter body tubes, some of them used original magazine wells that were rescued/re-used. There were videos that he put up of him firing a restricted firearm at a location that was not legal to fire one, there were other general concerns as well, not to mention the bullishness of his actions. I believe there was a criminal case (or was it a firearms reference hearing?) raised against him, where he defended himself by throwing others under the bus (it's legal for them to do this, why can't I do this other thing?) which implicated that other members of our community were doing things improperly and possibly illegally, so rather than accepting that his product was not up to snuff, he tried tossing others under the bus to bring us down too.
Great guy all around.
Is there a reason you want to buy one of his products?
NS
Even if "they" said it is fine to have one of these, and even if "they" gave me one at no charge, in my view it is still one of the most goofy looking and useless firearms I have seen, and I suspect this is no less true of the real thing from 75+ years ago.
Watching the RCMP video only reinforces that impression, it looks like a metal shop project done by a spastic.
Sunshine, or Sunray??
I know neither of them, but Sunray gets mentioned at least once a week as a real regular of the old short bus.
