I just bought a 25-06 and have no experience with this round. So i am not set up to load/reload without dies, brass,or 25cal bullets.I was wanting to do some deer hunting with it this fall and would like some advice on factory ammo to use.I have little time to play with it before the hunt.My shots probably wont go out past 150yrds.

Ewww, factory ammo ;)

Ah well. Deer aren't really that tough, so probably anything more than 90 or so grains would probably do the job. But, if the bullet's moving too fast and comes apart, it could really ruin a lot of meat. For the ranges you're looking at, I'd go with the heaviest premium/bonded bullet I could find.

Federal loads a 115 partition, a 100 TSX and a 115 TBBC. Any of those would be sufficient

Federal 117 gr SP's worked exceptionally well out of my TIkka, and my Ruger 25-06. I got a few boxes for free with the Ruger, and Wish i gave away the Boxes of Positive Xpanders when i got rid of the Tikka (Dont waste your money, I've still got a few boxes of em that arent worth shooting)
