What firearm for fun?

I used to have a rebored and chambered 357 little martini cadet that was a pleasure to carry and plunk with but now I've replaced it with one of the new Ruger 77/357 bolt action carbines that may take it's place.

Number two on my favorite fun guns is my little packer 9410.

The older you get the funner life is.

I would say the new mossberg .22 ARs fit the bill perfectly for a just for fun gun,
I just saw this and thought it would be perfect to bring new shooters to the range with.

Wanstalls just got them in.

Shotgun - 20 gauge
Rifle - .223

Actions are all based on preference. I mention the .223 for the same reason as stated, if you hand a new shooter a sighted in .223 they can build confidence right off the start. It's not so much of a stepping stone as a .22 LR.

For pure plunking fun can't beat a 22LR. ~20 bucks gets you a brick that will outlast your trigger finger. Same 20 bucks gets you box of 20 30 cal centerfire or box of 50 45s/357.

Just got another fun gun. Its a Henry Martini rebarreled to 303 Brit and it is LOADED. Has the top stock, factory peep, serious factory front sight and as well has the rear sights too. The peep has a quick release lever so you can go to rears quickly and it has all 4 barrel bands. Does not look like it has been shot much and the stock is in beautiful shape. Nothing to do to it but shoot it. This should be a fun shoot fer sure.

If I just weant to plink shoot for a outing at the 100 yard range I usually just take my old 1966 Anschutz model 125 bolt action rifle. Its so accurate its alsmot scary. I do have a 4x 32 Bushnell on top of it which helps me a lot with older eyes as well. Its lots of fun and extremely cheap to shoot as well needless to say. My Flintlock is next for Fun.

For fun??...Wow...

My Marlin Cowboy in 357, my Henry in 30-30 - both loaded with cast (nice and light).

My Uberti revolvers (357) with cowboy loads.

My M14 and Mini-14. And lastly, my 1954 Lee Enfield No4 Mk2.
