What gain from New T3x Stock?

If I was going to change the stock, I would go with a B&C. I put a B&C on my T-3 Varmint, and not only is it a better stock, the recoil lug is built into the bedding block.

If it’s a synthetic stock then yes. If it’s a wood stock, no. There isn’t any gain other than the softer recoil pad of the T3X which you can always change for a Limbsaver. The synthetic stock is modular however the extra grips and wider forends are not included. The T3X synthetic stock also makes a lot less noise than the T3 stock. I myself couldn’t justify changing the stock for a new T3X stock.

I bought a 260 with both stocks to see which one I preferred , I found I liked the pistol grip for bench shooting and the straighter stock for through up hunting style shooting - I've also tried B&C stocks , stiffer but heavier - ya never get the ying without the yang

I have a T3 and a t3X, the X stock is nicer than the T3. The foam filled stock makes for a more quiet stock than the hollow T3 and the interchangeable grips and forend are nice. I would not spend that kind of money to change from a T3 to a T3X however. For that kind of money I would go to a walnut Tikka hunter stock or bell and Carlson

Well, the B&C stock surely is stiffer, boy are they heavy. So personally i would go that route unless it was a large magnum. No I would not switch from a T3 stock to an T3X stock. Very little difference. The Only thing I would do is swap out the recoil lug on the T3 for stainless steel recoil lug.

I swapped the standard T3 Lite Tupperware stock for a walnut Hunter stock I bought from a fine gentleman here. Gorgeous piece of wood.. if anything it feels slightly slimmer through the wrist and along the forestock than the synthetic.
For an accurate, drag- through- the- brush stock I'd also be considering the B&C.
$500 isn't that bad when you consider that Prophet River is selling them for $399 in Canada.
For the T3X, I do believe one size fits all, provided you're talking about similar barrels. IE, sporter to sporter. A heavy barrel action may not have enough room in the barrel channel of a sporter stock.
