What game will you NOT hunt, and why?

i dont yet hunt....but just gettig back from florida i ate some gator tale down there, i would be up for a gator hunt for sure. the only hings wouldnt ever be able to hunt is most anything African. definitely no giraffe, rhino, and most of all elephant. im thinking about trying waterfowl this year or the next. maybe a deer in the sometime future. i would love to go for moose or bear. deer to me is iffy, im not sure if i would be able to pull the trigger or not. the only time i will be able to tell is when im waiting there with my finger on the trigger.

now, as for those unicorns, bring em on. ill hunt them fkers no problem.

Jackalope. Too hard to find and too hard to hit.

Also, the killer rabbit. I don't think Holy Handgrenades are legal in Canada.

Won't hunt bears. Don't need a rug, don't keep trophies, don't lik ethe meat enough to eat a whole bear.
Will hunt cougars, but only if pest control. Everything else on this continent is fair game as long as it doesn't cost me a fortune. Having to hire a guide or outfitter puts it over the edge for me. Besides, there are too many other things to hunt right around here for free. I am hunting almost all year long. esp for varmints. Lots of gophers and start 'yotes this weekend.

I'll hunt anything legal at least once and am willing to try any legal method. Granted, I will expend more time and effort to hunt game I can eat but will take any of the big predators I have a chance to. I got my first wolf this past year, have to start looking into cougar hunting now.

I won't be hunting sheep or goat. I just never did it before, so I'm not feeling like I'm missing anything, and it seems like quite a bit of work for the meat you get.

I also usually pass on Grizzly, but I do buy a tag every year, just in case one comes into camp and makes an ass of itself.

I don't hunt those poor cute little gophers......:p

The filthy little b....... are eating some of the farmers right out of their livelihood, so I have absolutely no qualms about blasting as many as I possibly can.

I hunted "unicorns" last Fall. Or maybe it was whitetail deer. Well, it might as well have been unicorns!:p

I'll pretty much only hunt a few things, geese/duck, rabbit, deer, moose, elk, black bear (not so much though)... Everything else won't find its way into my freezer so I have no reason to shoot it (barring wilderness camping, but that's survival, not hunting).

I wouldn't hunt whales or dolphins either. I don't know what the f@ck I'd do with a dead whale...I've never wanted to hunt giraffes since I don't have a trophy room tall enough for one.

There is a video I've seen where a whale washed up on shore, and some "engineer" decided the best way to deal with it is to stack explosives on the shore-ward side of the critter and "blow" it back into the ocean to tow away...Didn't really pan out the way it looked on paper. The whale disapears in a huge cloud of red mist with chunks the size of a small car landing everywhere :D

My Father didn't hunt bears for most of his adult life. When he was a teen, him and his Father were out bear hunting when they come to an old homestead. The bear was in the outhouse scooping and eating away. Neither of them shot, ate or skinned a bear ever sincecp:

I'm not into eating bear, or dealing with the carcass...but I'm helping my brother on his grizzly trip this year. I buy a Blackbear tag incase I have an issue wih one, to maintain legality.
Not into hunting cats of any sort, I've got a soft spot for em. Same deal wih the dog family, wolves or coyotes. Don't care if other people do, but I just like dogs too much to pull the trigger. However if someone wants to remove the pack that has moved into my deer hunting area...:p
I'll also eat cougar, just not interested in shooting one...running with the hounds would be cool, but I like smoking too much to be able to do it!
Prairie dogs...yeah I understand the necessity, they're pests, but I feel a bit sick watching people post pics of half a PD and other people laughing...my perspective would be different if I was from Saskatchewan I guess (dear lord, thanks for not makin me from saskatchewan).
Also don't hunt ducks and geese much anymore...I don't like eatig them enough for it to be worthwhile to me. Again, no problem eating it, but not worth it...I could go deer hunting instead.

It's funny this post came up. I was thinking about this the other day when I was fishing. I used to go gopher hunting quite a bit in past years. Lately though, it seems I don't have the stomach for it anymore. Shooting them in the vegetable garden is one thing, but to just go out and blast away for an afternoon... I don't know what happened, but these days it just doesn't sit right with me anymore.

I've never wanted to shoot a giraffe. Or a turtle, like a previous poster mentioned. I want to get one black bear for a rug, and then after that I'd just chase colour phase bears. No interest in shooting whales or such either.
